This website is for Alfred Deakin High School students enrolled in Technology Woodwork and Metal Workshop classes. It allows students to view future projects, update their TIC card, access safety information and other additional resources suggested to complete their classes. ADHS prides itself in the safety Maintained & educated to students in the Wood & Metal workshops .
Students are to complete the relevant test relating to their stage of education & subject choice. They must complete the test with 100% success rate & once successful will receive a TIC ( Technology Induction Card) This enables them to set foot in either a Wood or Metal workshop. The students are required to keep their cards at all times as evidence of their sound safety knowledge.
If the student is in the senior years 9/10 the student may continue a new class by simply passing a refresher lest (also at 100% ) their original TIC is hole punched to show they are current with workshop safety.
The testing is as follows:
-Junior TIC (Yr 7 )
-Senior Wood TIC (Yr 8, 9 & 10)
-Senior Wood Refresher ( Yr 9 & 10)
-Metal TIC ( Yr 9 & 10)
-Metal Refresher ( Yr 9 & 10)
